Kitchen Newbie Right Here

Since our wedding is just around the corner, the call to being a domesticated wife is beckoning. Just so you have an idea on how totally clueless I am in the kitchen, I had to google this just the other day: "clove of garlic" --because I didn't know whether the clove meant just the small piece of a garlic or the whole thing (so apparently it's just the small piece).  Kawawa diba? :P

BKK: Foodie Spots (2/3)

Our Day 1 in Bangkok was pretty laid back. We arrived early in the morning so after leaving our bags at the hotel, we ate brunch at this casual joint (aka carinderia) named "Im Chan"   which boasts of "very good and very cheap food". Their words, not mine. IM CHAN True to its tagline, it was a great and affordable meal! We made sure we ordered the signature Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Shrimp Curry and Fried Oyster Pancakes. Win!

Tea Connoisseur: TenRen Ph

Friends sometimes tease me on my "Oriental palate" because I really do like the taste of tea. While others would cringe on its somewhat bitter aftertaste, I would take delight as I hold a cup in my hands and take a sip. It's probably the clean taste and the health benefits of the drink that I have grown to love over the years. Thus being a tea person, it's no surprise that the idea of authentic tea landing in the country tickled my taste buds. :) These folks from TenRen just opened their first branch in Manila last Saturday and what they promise is a tea experience like you've never had before.

Eat Street (2/2)

Here are our other eats during the event... Yes, there's more! While Crisp on 28th Crisp Street was there offering grilled corn and burritos, Pink Panda was there to represent Asian Cuisine and Bait's was there with their sliders.

Eat Street (1/2)

Just as the name implies, Eat Street is a stretch of gustatory delights that range from the streetfood crunchy belly to  the Italian classic cannoli (no this is not the pasta we eat at Amici, which was my initial thought! :P). Bettina was gracious enough to tag me along to this event 2 Fridays ago and what ensued was a cycle of eating, sitting and taking photos of the food and the scene.

Let's be Taste-Makers!

Hi! It's been awhile... Sorry! I think there may now be spam viewers trolling my site because despite my MIA status on this page for the past month, my views have spiked! That's weird, right? So this is me making sure that this page will be more active in the next few weeks.. *pinky promise* ...but if you are a legit viewer, thanks for visiting! :) Mwah mwah tsup tsup! LoL! So, I am now officially cut off from the corporate world and this is one of the things I enjoy doing -- making desserts! There's a phrase that I came across the IG feed recently: "let's be makers!" and it's just a great thing to be throwing it out there as an invitation to keep the creativity and passion alive by doing and making something... So I tried doing just that... and this week's episode brings you, "The Joys of Dessert-making!"
