Up-ping my Craft Game

Heyy! So last weekend, Rhea and I had a crafternoon sesh with the peepz from Craft Mnl. It was my first time to attend a craft workshop so I was really excited about it :P

Say Goodbye to Hair! (Shaving vs Deps vs Plucking vs Waxing)

So much has changed in the daily routines of women. Do you remember when waxing was somewhat the wild child in the hair removal methods? Slumped below shaving, plucking and depilatories, waxing was reserved for the more courageous few, simply because it's more expensive and just the word "waxing" makes one cringe in pain just thinking about it. ... But nowadays, waxing studios have started setting up shops here and there, almost challenging the more reserved Pinays and Pinoys (yep, being hair-free is not just for girls!) to take hygiene to the next level. Aside from waxing though, there are other hair removal methods available out there. So here is a quick comparison rundown on the different methods -for all of you who wants to achieve that smooth and hair free skin. :)

A Day with a Make Up Artist

You may see me as a kikay girl, but I am practically clueless as far as make up is concerned. I have always been fascinated with people who can do eye make up. How I wish I could do those smokey eyes without looking like raccoon and without finishing off all the dark-colored eye shadows. So lo and behold, a few weeks ago, I was able to watch how make up artists spring into action as they take out their palettes to create a masterpiece with the face as their canvas. And I kid you not, they seriously have palettes--like painter-kind of palettes :)

Good Skin Care > Excellent Make up

Hey kikay girls! How are you taking care of your skin these days? Manila weather goes for the extreme at times, so sunshine-y on the first day, then it's pouring like crazy on the second day. And with the stress, dust and pollution, come the cry of our skin for help! This is coming from a girl who commutes via bus, train (MRT = Character formation program of the Philippines/ Patience Building Advocacy of RP) and jeep on a daily basis, so I tend to be melodramatic with all the pollution at times :)

Getting Beach-Ready with Wink!

Beach! That is what my mind seems to be saying these days, and on Friday we will be flying to a much-loved beach in Visayas (more about that soon). Finally! The sun and the seas! :D But before we don our swimwear and flip-flops, my friend and I made sure to get our skin beach-ready first. So just last Saturday, we went to Wink Laser & Wax Studio to get our waxing fix. We both have had experience in waxing, shaving and plucking so I think it was a great way to try what Wink has to offer differently in the market. Because we already have something to compare it with, we hope to bring something that will break it down into specifics, not just with the service but with the products and the  ambiance  as well. Hygiene is number 1 One thing worth remembering about Wink is its priority on cleanliness. Holly Chang, the young entrepreneur behind this budding business, is a self-proclaimed OC. And it shows the moment you enter one of the rooms. The s...

Enza: Feel Deliciously Pampered!

Oh boy, how I missed being pampered! It has been months since I last set foot in Enza Nails & Spa, so it was nice to be back last Thursday night. Enza Nails & Spa in Ortigas is a quaint  place along Garnet Street  (just across Robinson’s Galleria) that offers delicious pampering to both men and women. Yes, both girls and boys seemed to agree that we all need pampering from time to time, whether it’s a good ol' mani-pedi, a 30-minute head massage, or a soothing foot spa, it just feels good to be taken care of after a long day.
