I'm Back!

Hello, everyone! It's me. It's been a long while, I know, my last update was when I announced that I was preggo with our rainbow baby! Ciara just celebrated her 1st birthday, and Sophia just turned 4. I have been missing writing so here I am, making up for the lost time by picking up my digital pen and blogging again.  Chunky Ciara at 6.5 months Do people still blog these days? I don't even know... lol! Lahat ata naka-reels and youtube videos na. But all I know is that writing is the oldest friend I have relied on ever since I was a kid. It has been my companion and comrade when I am feeling down ( like when I found out we had a miscarriage ), happy ( when I got married ), when I need to reflect, or a space to gush over how pretty awesome the world is ( first time in Japan ). So sana may magbasa parin, and I hope that this space will be able to make you smile and encourage you. So sa dami ko nang sinabi, eto nalang... some photos of my fam to catch you up! PS: I promise to ...

Turning 29

Celebrated my 29th birthday two weeks ago and hey look at that, I didn't even had to think twice about putting in my age! Haha! I don't know what it is about 29, and while it's my last year to say that I'm in my late 20's, it's also the time where you just care less more (did I confuse you with those 2 words?)... One of my friends asked me how old I was, to which I answered 29. and she joked to say, " dibale nasa kalendaryo ka pa!" This may have come off as offensive to me months ago but I just smiled and said "Si Lord na bahala" knowing for certain na Siya na talaga bahala. I guess, being at this age means that you get to see so much of God's goodness already that everything that happened and will happen in the future -- you are able to trust God for. I have seen Him come through so many times already, and I know that He has my present and future in His trustworthy hands. This has also been the most no-fuss birthday ever -- a s...

*Jaw just dropped*

My dad is finally out of the hospital! He was discharged 2 weeks ago and we couldn't be happier because he has been praying and praising God since. It's a picture that I couldn't describe apart from it is only by God's grace that THAT happened. We have been praying for the assurance of my dad's salvation for years and this was the year that I just knew it would happen. I remember telling friends and prayer partners, "feeling ko talaga this year na yun." And God really does make the impossible possible and His ways will always be higher than our ways.

Honoring Mom & Dad - by a Resident Brat

Izzz so hot lately! I am typing this in an air-conditioned room but I'm still a little heady from the humidity and scorching hot weather outside. I hope you guys are holding up well :) Always carry a bottle of water with you to make sure you're hydrated. Odiba, spoken like girl with PhD. Haha! :D Anyway, this week, my appreciation for having such great parents have grown and I usually find myself saying na super bait nila (they're super nice)  when asked about them. Like this week's dessert-biz episode in the name of mango float.

Happy New Year (better-late-than-never)!

I am 5 days late, but hey, happy New Year!!! *fireworks! clapping!* I thought of giving an ode to 2013 to properly end the year, but I thought I'll just dive right into 2014 :P A friend asked me at the tail end of the year how has 2013 been for me, and it took me awhile to answer.  Gather thoughts, quick!

Ho-Ho-Ho!

Mommy's Day Package from Soiree!

Mother's  day is just one sleep away! Have you gotten something for your mom yet? I know that treating your mom to a spa or nail salon is something that has been done before, but really, with all the stress you put her under and the amount of work it took her to raise you, she deserves a break. :)
