Throwback Thursday: Blast from the Past

Hey, I am feeling a wee bit contemplative today so I am sharing this short story I wrote 3 years ago :) I wrote it to sum up the year that was and instead of writing it as it is, I cocooned it inside a fiction. So it's like a realism + fiction. You may want to try writing one as the year comes to a close :)

D&C: They're married!

Hi there! So my college friend Cathy is finally married! I told you guys about her bridal shower here, and here are some of our photos on her wedding day two Sundays ago :D Just look at how happy she is! :D All smiles! That's how all brides should look like!

Read Fave: Top 7 Reading List

There are curl-up worthy books that you just want to bury with under the covers... then there are the click-worthy blogs with thoughts, fads and raves meant to be consumed while sitting in front of the computer or with your mobile devices. So I thought I'd give the latter ones the spotlight they deserve: here are some blogs and websites I have been happily visiting lately :) Click, read and bookmark away, loves!

Yolanda: Let's help

With the impact that Yolanda has made on the Philippines these past few days, clearly documented on newspapers and media channels, I cannot help but look at the photos and footage with a crease on my forehead - worried and sad on the lives affected because of it. How can your heart not go out to those people who lost their shelters and their loved ones? I am honestly not the most emphatic person on this planet, but a surge of compassion goes out to those who are left hungry, devastated and bereft.

Dashing to the Great and Happy

My appetite has been growing and growing lately, that my officemates seemed to have noticed it too. One time was when we threw a baby shower for Rhea at Amici, in which I kept asking from the other side of the table to "please pass" me the seafood pasta, the tutta carne and the other dishes from their side. And on and on I tasted and munched, quietly devouring the elements piled on my plate, as they talked about motherhood and wifeydom.

Fashion Spotlight: Little Carrie Bradshaw

With the new Carrie Diaries show, chronicling the life of Carrie Bradshaw from the hit TV series, Sex and the City, comes the flashback of all things 80s -- most particularly the characters' fashion sense. So for this fashion post, I'd like to put the spotlight on the small Carrie with her undeniably big fashion play, as a high school girl played by actress, Anna Sophia Robb. These are some favorites! Scroll down and see!

Bridal Shower Pit Stops

October weekends are turning out to be really fun J Like two Saturdays ago, we threw a bridal shower for my college friend, Cathy. Her requests were just 3 things: (1) No stripper (was that a disappointed grunt I just heard from you? Lol!) (2) Sabaw fun! (3) and reminiscent of our college days (so I guess this one was already referring to #2) So what her maid of honor, Steph, planned was a girls day out/sleepover that constituted stuffing our faces with all things yummy and sweet, a little naughty sexy trip at La Senza to pick up something naughty and sexy (jeez, that was redundant), and a pamper me fix at St. Nails, for a halo-ed experience at their branch in Makati.
