D&C: They're married!

Hi there! So my college friend Cathy is finally married! I told you guys about her bridal shower here, and here are some of our photos on her wedding day two Sundays ago :D

Just look at how happy she is! :D All smiles! That's how all brides should look like!

Any scene that includes the parents of the bride makes me a little teary eyed. I nearly cried when Cathy's dad was giving his message to both of them that night! The cheesy-and-a-little-dramatic girl in me usually shows up on wedding days. Tsktsk :)

Here we are posing after the ceremony outside the church and at the reception area hours after. We're quite a big bunch, eh? And look at the pretty colors! All of us girls are rocking solid-colored gowns! I missed these people! Go R2!

The reception was held at Crowne Plaza Galleria and the flowers, lighting and the set up were really beautiful. Konting emote sa stolen shot na ito. Totoong candid yan! Pwede na  ba?? :P

Two Instax photos down below during the reception :)

And of course, the photo booth by Baicapture which we all took turns taking happy shots in!

Cheers to the newly weds! :)

PS. Thanks to Tessa, Roy and Bett for the photos!

Bridal Shower Ideas

Japan: Lit Gardens & Shrines in Kyoto + Japan Travel Tips

On our 3rd day, we went to Kyoto! We bought a one-day Keihan railway pass since Kyoto is about an hour away from Osaka. There are different ways to get to Kyoto but the cheapest and fastest is by train. Taxis are very expensive in Japan! Buses and trains are just about the same price so you can plot your way to this famous spot either way. Fushimi Inari Shrine

A Day with a Make Up Artist

You may see me as a kikay girl, but I am practically clueless as far as make up is concerned. I have always been fascinated with people who can do eye make up. How I wish I could do those smokey eyes without looking like raccoon and without finishing off all the dark-colored eye shadows. So lo and behold, a few weeks ago, I was able to watch how make up artists spring into action as they take out their palettes to create a masterpiece with the face as their canvas. And I kid you not, they seriously have palettes--like painter-kind of palettes :)
