#PositivelyBetter

The story of my life -- period today, beach tomorrow.

At first I would cringe and melodramatically ask the Lord, "Why???" but about the 4th time it happened, I've gotten used to it and now, I just find it funny. :P

Kasi sino lang ba ang makakapagsabi na nakapagsurf siya na may suot na overnight napkin diba?? Ako lang! Lol!

So when it comes to this monthly visitor (with a good sense of humor, I must say), my mantra would always be, go lang nang go! I am the type of person who wouldn't want to miss out on anything so I don't let my period stop me.

I've even had this experience when I had to bring a plastic bag and a napkin with me during our island hopping in Caramoan... and with the help of friends covering me with a sarong making sure my integrity was intact while I dutifully change my napkin inside the boat (yes!), I was still able to enjoy the trip despite the "situation"..

So I thought I was already a pro when it comes to the sanitary napkin department kasi napatibay na ko nang panahon and I've already tried most of the pads out there. Little did I know that there was one napkin I haven't particularly tried...

I've heard of Jeunesse and know that their napkins have these special anions that help with the cramps and the dysmenorrhea. Since I don't really experience dysmenorrhea, I didn't bother to try it because I heard that they are also quite expensive.

But apparently, there is something more to this napkin than I initially thought... Presenting the anatomy of a Jeunesse napkin:

When I tried it, I must say that I love how thin their napkins are... You know how some napkins bunch up and move around (which is not supposed to happen) and sometimes even unravels (hello cotton and padding!) when you wear it the entire day?

That's the thing with Jeunesse -- I love how it sits perfectly still with its thin and compact material so my pad was secured the whole day.

I also love their pantyliners which is great for those days just before or after your period to keep you feeling fresh and clean.

What makes Jeunesse really special though is the anion strip that emits negatively-charged molecules that lessens odor and bacteria.

When my friends saw that I tried Jeunesse, they were quick to share their delight on their products:

"I've been using Jeunesse Anion pads for years now and I can attest that it reduced my discomfort/dysmenorrhea and also did eliminate unwanted odor. :) Definitely a Jeunesse believer!"
- Queen, 29, mom

“I’ve had bad cases of dysmenorrhea ever since I got my first period. When I started to use Jeunesse Anion pads, I noticed that the pain significantly lessened. It’s definitely my go-to pad now.”
- Gia, 30, married

... and look, they're also reasonably priced! So for a less-odor, less-bacteria, fresher and less-hassle period (especially for those who get really bad cramps) why not give Jeunesse a try? ;)

Passionately Curious

Here is the post I wrote years ago! I echoed here what I learned from the 2 speakers, Tricia Gosingtian and Ana Santos. Tricia is a fashion blogger, so there's a part of the event in which we all had to pick out and model the outfits from Bayo then Tricia picked out winners from the attendees. So the event started with that then went into the specifics of fashion blogging then writing in general. :) Hope you'll pick up a few writing nuggets! Happy reading and writing!

It's Perfectly Fine Not to Say Anything

Last weekend, we went to this Starbucks branch in Tagaytay and it was really lovely. It was situated below a steep driveway, and unless you know where to look, it would be quite easy to miss. But it's a spacious lot -- with glass doors, paintings, couches, benches and wooden architecture -- it may just be my favorite Starbucks by far.

Ligawan Stage So this is the part where Dennis already laid down his intentions, and I said yes to courtship.  I’ll share here the things we learned and what God taught us during this season. Hope this encourages you! Dennis told me to share his insecurities in this blog because he thought that it would encourage the men out there. Some of his insecurities were:
