No-Filter Friends

I hope everyone has people in their lives with whom they wouldn't feel the need to filter anything. It's a good thing for the soul to just sit there and be at your most comfortable - just blurting out everything that comes to mind. :)

Last weekend held the longest bridal shower in history -- spanning for 24 hours! Lol! We threw a party for Potchy and it was like an amazing race -- her exact words -- because we hopped from one place to the next with changing outfits in between :P It was the whole shebang!

After a handful of people backed out at the last minute, 1 busted car, arriving a little late at our VIP table in one of the bars in the Metro (like an hour before everyone else left, haha! The bar guys were already sweeping the floors just before we downed our group drinks!), and a quick emergency route to ICU because of an accident... you can always count on just being with your bestest and closest friends in the world.

Here's one photo of the memorable night with them no-filter friends! I love you girls! Congrats Potchy!

At Moulin Rouge themed-room, our 2nd pitstop. The place was actually really nice! :)

PS. The 24-hour bridal shower was still very wholesome! But we incorporated something nice-r to what would otherwise be naughty :)

If you'll be crowning one of your friends Mrs. soon, then the next post (or the next next) may interest you. I'll be posting about bridal shower ideas next! ;)

So You Had a Bad Day

Last Friday, I caught myself getting irritated by the second as I get one bad update after the next at work - confirming either low performance for the month or delay in our campaign activities. I just wanted nothing more but to call it a day and go home...  But since that wasn't an option, I just watched a movie (yup on my own :P) and stuffed my mouth with Taters potato chips (cheese flavor!) and Jamaican pattie (cheesy beef!) later that afternoon. Yup, that made me feel a little better after! We all go through this kind of day, and so soon after ringing in the new year with our hopes and goals too!  Tsktsk! So as I dragged myself to take on the hours that day, I knew that I had to snap out of it and be wary, lest I find myself stuck in the limbo of the daily activities.

Getting Beach-Ready with Wink!

Beach! That is what my mind seems to be saying these days, and on Friday we will be flying to a much-loved beach in Visayas (more about that soon). Finally! The sun and the seas! :D But before we don our swimwear and flip-flops, my friend and I made sure to get our skin beach-ready first. So just last Saturday, we went to Wink Laser & Wax Studio to get our waxing fix. We both have had experience in waxing, shaving and plucking so I think it was a great way to try what Wink has to offer differently in the market. Because we already have something to compare it with, we hope to bring something that will break it down into specifics, not just with the service but with the products and the  ambiance  as well. Hygiene is number 1 One thing worth remembering about Wink is its priority on cleanliness. Holly Chang, the young entrepreneur behind this budding business, is a self-proclaimed OC. Japan: Lit Gardens & Shrines in Kyoto + Japan Travel Tips

On our 3rd day, we went to Kyoto! We bought a one-day Keihan railway pass since Kyoto is about an hour away from Osaka. There are different ways to get to Kyoto but the cheapest and fastest is by train. Taxis are very expensive in Japan! Buses and trains are just about the same price so you can plot your way to this famous spot either way. Fushimi Inari Shrine
