Spotified!

Could Daniel Ek, creator of Spotify, be the next Mark Zuckerburg?

With the growing number of users of this now-famous app, it IS possible. :)

This new app reminds me of MTV days in the 90s. I remembered how my sisters and I lived in Moffatts fandom back then, that not only do we have posters of these cuteee siblings plastered on our wall, but we also hoard cassette tapes and song-hits (haha! alamuyan!) as we wait for their video to come on MTV and watch it for the nth time!

Living in an era of downloads allows us with so much control when it comes to the music we listen to. Taking comfort in the familiar is not all that bad, but not knowing what next song will be playing or when your favorite track will come on is also pretty exciting.

Of course, you can make your own playlists in Spotify, but the app's browse and discover tabs also encourage its users to thread on newly discovered tracks and oldie but goodie artists of your most listened-to genres.

ANd the clincher is this, you are only allowed 6 skips max in an hour for free listening! So unless you're willing to pay a premium, you really have to suck it up and listen to the song.

Here are a couple of their most-played tracks that get me excited whenever they're on! Woot woot!

Disclosure - Latch (Ft. Sam Smith)
The Best Day of my Life - American Authors
Not a Bad Thing - Justin Timberlake
Summer - Calvin Harris
Happy - Pharrell
All of Me - John Legend
Birthday - Katy Perry
Brave - Sara Bareilles
Counting Stars - One Republic

So You Had a Bad Day

Last Friday, I caught myself getting irritated by the second as I get one bad update after the next at work - confirming either low performance for the month or delay in our campaign activities. I just wanted nothing more but to call it a day and go home...  But since that wasn't an option, I just watched a movie (yup on my own :P) and stuffed my mouth with Taters potato chips (cheese flavor!) and Jamaican pattie (cheesy beef!) later that afternoon. Yup, that made me feel a little better after! We all go through this kind of day, and so soon after ringing in the new year with our hopes and goals too!  Tsktsk! So as I dragged myself to take on the hours that day, I knew that I had to snap out of it and be wary, lest I find myself stuck in the limbo of the daily activities.

Japan: Lit Gardens & Shrines in Kyoto + Japan Travel Tips

On our 3rd day, we went to Kyoto! We bought a one-day Keihan railway pass since Kyoto is about an hour away from Osaka. There are different ways to get to Kyoto but the cheapest and fastest is by train. Taxis are very expensive in Japan! Buses and trains are just about the same price so you can plot your way to this famous spot either way. Fushimi Inari Shrine

Getting Beach-Ready with Wink!

Beach! That is what my mind seems to be saying these days, and on Friday we will be flying to a much-loved beach in Visayas (more about that soon). Finally! The sun and the seas! :D But before we don our swimwear and flip-flops, my friend and I made sure to get our skin beach-ready first. So just last Saturday, we went to Wink Laser & Wax Studio to get our waxing fix. We both have had experience in waxing, shaving and plucking so I think it was a great way to try what Wink has to offer differently in the market. Because we already have something to compare it with, we hope to bring something that will break it down into specifics, not just with the service but with the products and the  ambiance  as well. Hygiene is number 1 One thing worth remembering about Wink is its priority on cleanliness. Holly Chang, the young entrepreneur behind this budding business, is a self-proclaimed OC.
