Playlist Fave: Celeste by Les Enfants

Good morning! It's the eve of Valentines Day and here is a song for you:

Celeste
by Les Enfants

Well I was sitting in a field of pine trees
Coaxing the words from the earth and the dirt and

I sought a muse but the words just wouldn't come

It's been a while since I saw you at New Year,
Holding your breath, your eyes upon the second hand
The way you looked is still vivid to me

You're something out of a dream
Messin' with my head
And I've been looking for you
Are you hiding?
'Cause I like the way you're calling to me,
Your spell upon me
You're something out of a dream
And I like it, though I fight it

It took a while for the medicine to sink in,
Blow out the fog and remove all the cobwebs
Now I'm clear; I can hear myself think straight

I'm on the road with my clothes in a rucksack,
Over my shoulder, following the whispers
People ask me where I'm going in such haste

And I say, "My girl's a switchblade,
A bright light on a cityscape.
Wherever she goes, I'm going to chase."

You're something out of a dream
Messin' with my head
And I've been looking for you
Are you hiding?
'Cause I like the way you're calling to me,
Your spell upon me
You're something out of a dream
And I like it, though I fight it, (ooh)
You're something out of a dream
You're something out of a dream

If you think this song is familiar, it's because you've heard it on Drew Arellano and Iya Villania's wedding video a few weeks ago.

Geez, that video was trending because it's so romantic and awwww-worthy. Don't you think? I will note a few lovely lines in their vows on my next post.

For now, sing along with this song! Have a lovely day!

Japan: Lit Gardens & Shrines in Kyoto + Japan Travel Tips

On our 3rd day, we went to Kyoto! We bought a one-day Keihan railway pass since Kyoto is about an hour away from Osaka. There are different ways to get to Kyoto but the cheapest and fastest is by train. Taxis are very expensive in Japan! Buses and trains are just about the same price so you can plot your way to this famous spot either way. Fushimi Inari Shrine

A Day with a Make Up Artist

You may see me as a kikay girl, but I am practically clueless as far as make up is concerned. I have always been fascinated with people who can do eye make up. How I wish I could do those smokey eyes without looking like raccoon and without finishing off all the dark-colored eye shadows. So lo and behold, a few weeks ago, I was able to watch how make up artists spring into action as they take out their palettes to create a masterpiece with the face as their canvas. And I kid you not, they seriously have palettes--like painter-kind of palettes :)
