On to the Next Adventure!

...and that's a wrap for our summer activities at Victory Greenhills Kids Ministry!

Thank you Jesus for strengthening, helping and equipping us from start to finish. There are many lessons learned (in short, things to improve on hihi!) but we're also giving ourselves a big hurrah and good job as a team! Very thankful that Kids Ministry is a team ministry so many hands are helping us hold and tighten the rope for the next generation. :)

Another great news that I'd like to share is that I'll be joining the ten days team going to Vietnam this September.

God started placing this desire and burden in my heart for missions just last January during prayer and fasting. It wasn't part of my faith goals for the year and yet, God really does make one's will align to His. I've heard stories from the rest of the ten days team and their journey that made them sign up for missions is different. God is a very personal God, and that's what makes Him so amazing to be weaving these unique stories that testifies about His goodness.

Ano kaya mangyayari noh? :) Excited to be part of His plans for Vietnam!

How then can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:14-15

Japan: Lit Gardens & Shrines in Kyoto + Japan Travel Tips

On our 3rd day, we went to Kyoto! We bought a one-day Keihan railway pass since Kyoto is about an hour away from Osaka. There are different ways to get to Kyoto but the cheapest and fastest is by train. Taxis are very expensive in Japan! Buses and trains are just about the same price so you can plot your way to this famous spot either way. Fushimi Inari Shrine

A Day with a Make Up Artist

You may see me as a kikay girl, but I am practically clueless as far as make up is concerned. I have always been fascinated with people who can do eye make up. How I wish I could do those smokey eyes without looking like raccoon and without finishing off all the dark-colored eye shadows. So lo and behold, a few weeks ago, I was able to watch how make up artists spring into action as they take out their palettes to create a masterpiece with the face as their canvas. And I kid you not, they seriously have palettes--like painter-kind of palettes :)
