Getting Beach-Ready with Wink!

Beach! That is what my mind seems to be saying these days, and on Friday we will be flying to a much-loved beach in Visayas (more about that soon). Finally! The sun and the seas! :D But before we don our swimwear and flip-flops, my friend and I made sure to get our skin beach-ready first. So just last Saturday, we went to Wink Laser & Wax Studio to get our waxing fix. We both have had experience in waxing, shaving and plucking so I think it was a great way to try what Wink has to offer differently in the market. Because we already have something to compare it with, we hope to bring something that will break it down into specifics, not just with the service but with the products and the  ambiance  as well. Hygiene is number 1 One thing worth remembering about Wink is its priority on cleanliness. Holly Chang, the young entrepreneur behind this budding business, is a self-proclaimed OC. And it shows the moment you enter one of the rooms. The s...

Playlist Faves: Shadowfeet

I'm a fan of Ms. Fraser right here, just because she is not only an amazing singer, but a great songwriter.

While I'm Waiting

While I'm Waiting was one of the events organized by Hardwired, Victory GH's Singles Ministry. This happened just last Saturday and one thing worth noting about the event was that it was jam-packed! Alam na ano ang concern ng mga singles ngayon. Haha! But yes, in the area of love life, everyone just seems to agree that it's something many people invest a lot of time thinking and praying about. So let's not deny it anymore and let us talk about it!

Chunky Heels!

It's like a hybrid of wedges and stilettos, and it gives you that height, class and comfort. Chunky Heels!!! This is what I am loving these days... and after perusing, here are my top 5 chunky heels picks that will suit different looks. As you will see, these are pretty basic choices so it's easy to match with any outfit and since we girls have a budget to follow, we have to invest in key pieces (just like the classic LBD).

Happy Hearts Day!

Now in other news and to keep the V-day vibe going, two of my closest friends are getting married this year: Ja and Cathy! And now they're both prepping for the big day! Ja was super ecstatic when one of the photographers she was eyeing, Samantha Erin, just replied to her for confirmation for her pre-nup shoot. So here are some of her really great photos (of other couples, hehe! Wala pa yung kina Ja eh) that I hope would make you go all googly-eyed and kilig:

Week 1 Lesson

Happy Happy Valentines! <3 Okay sorry! I'm a day late, been adjusting to the reality of working again. Honestly, I'm super tired during the first part of the week :/ We had a training last Wednesday and I swear, if I just blinked a second longer, I would have dozed off right there. Pinches just didn't do it anymore. So I had to picture the possible outcome: dozing off and waking up in the meeting room alone, and going back to my station to the news that "the newbie slept during training!!!" So I imagined that while I pray. And the desire to keep my job and God's grace prevailed. Thank you Lord!

Last Work-Free Day Ahead!

Yes, loves! Today is my last work-free day! And I am going to miss this! Haha! But yep, it's more than high time that I get back to work :) These past few days, I have been battling it out with a note card that says "get your priorities straight, miss." Truth be told, there are certain things that I need to say NO to in order to focus on my career. One major thing is SMFW. BUT I am not about to let go of that yet, but I decided that I had to lie low on that one. Too Tempted to Say Yes Just the other day, I had a quick meet-up with a customer and while her car windows were rolled down, and I handed her the shoes, she told me about this event that she wanted to partner with.

TV Spotlight on: Raising Hope, Hart of Dixie, Elementary & Arrow

What TV series are you following these days? During my 3-month hiatus from work, I was able to catch up on both new and old tv series. In a perfectly chillaxed position, I would watch one episode after another, alternating from one series to the next, depending on my mood. I think when you're well-rested, you can easily switch from the light to the slightly heavy to the heavy -- just one of the many perks of a goodnight's sleep. :) So aside from my usual Vampire Diaries and New Girl episodes, I started following new ones. ... and here are the new series I am following that are just too funny and addicting not to share:

Photo-full Monday!

I was rushing to the Ayala MRT station on my way home today when something on my left caught my eye. I was already really tired that it took me by surprise that something would be interesting enough for me to stop. At that time, my right arm was throbbing a little from the blood exam for the APE and I was getting a little heady because of all the walking under the smoldering heat the entire day (the nurse even asked me whether I was getting a little dizzy because my blood pressure was too low, oops). In short, I want nothing more than to take a shower and dive head-first on my bed. But lo and behold, after a full day... somewhere between my strides in Glorietta, I just had to slow down. It was the combination of colors in a photograph that made me stop and look closely. And beside it was another full-colored photo, and in front of it were a few more... I stepped back and realized:  Eh kaya naman pla!  It was because the whole stretch was a photo exhibit, specifically th...

Enza: Feel Deliciously Pampered!

Oh boy, how I missed being pampered! It has been months since I last set foot in Enza Nails & Spa, so it was nice to be back last Thursday night. Enza Nails & Spa in Ortigas is a quaint  place along Garnet Street  (just across Robinson’s Galleria) that offers delicious pampering to both men and women. Yes, both girls and boys seemed to agree that we all need pampering from time to time, whether it’s a good ol' mani-pedi, a 30-minute head massage, or a soothing foot spa, it just feels good to be taken care of after a long day.

Back to the Corpy World! :)

It's official! I have a new job! I just signed the contract today, and really, the struggle it took me to make this decision was pretty wild. If you have seen me yesterday, texting peepz to pray for me and those phone conversations with the company giving me 15 minutes to decide whether to take the job or not ("Ermm... Ano ba..? Hmm.. Wait ah.. Uhmmm..") But when I finally made the decision, I never did once turn back. It's like all my apprehensions went kapoof. And I was real happy signing that contract today.
